The most common ego identifications have to do with possessions, the work you do, social status and recognition, knowledge and education, physical appearance, special abilities, relationships, person and family history, belief systems, and often nationalistic, racial, religious, and other collective identifications. None of these is you.

Separated by classes who find themselves the better people because they are wealthier. Separated by ethnicities who find themselves the better people because of cultural bias. Separated by religious groups who find themselves the better people because their god is the only true god. Separated by imaginary borders protected by patriots, because the foreigners were born X miles in the opposite direction, they have no rights to live in their country.

Who are you? Strip it all away, and maybe you’ll discover the true nature of your existence.
