A friend to all is a friend to none.
Aristotle
I’d be willing to argue nothing is more sacred than true friendships. You spend your most valuable resource (time) with your friends, not for personal pursuits, as some relationships are helpful, but because you love them. The intermingling of your conscious experiences creates a magical cocktail that, once drunken, lowers the ego's protective guard, and the true nature of both your expressions is exposed vulnerably with trust. For example, you’ve probably admitted things to your friends that not even your parents are aware of. It’s normal to have many “friends” in today's age of social media, but take time to distinguish the differences. Conserve your time and energy for your true friendships instead of fruitlessly maintaining your relationships. I’d much rather have a few true friends rather a few thousand acquaintances.
